Health, safety and environment are given the highest priority. POOC prides itself in safeguarding the health and safety of all its employees and contractors, while ensuring the sustainability of the environment housing its operations. It is POOC policy to achieve and maintain a high standard of safety and civil responsibility through the development and proper interpretation of our HSE-MS.

POOC management strongly believes that all accidents are preventable and therefore employs the use of regular Risk Assessments combined with a concise incident reporting format to ensure accidents are kept to a minimum (ALARP). We also reorganize that clear HSE standards will enhance operations and promote high quality performance.

The environment is a critical aspect of POOC sustenance plan and protocols are established and followed to ensure that impacts to the environment are minimal. POOC maintains optimum standards by incorporating the four R's in waste management (reduce, reuse, recycle and recover).

Over the years we have seen our host communities as major stakeholders in the E&P business. Therefore, POOC utilizes simply defined contracting process that encourages local participation.
